Click here for Sleep Walk 2012 FAQ's.
The Sleep Walk is a sponsored night walk open to all ladies aged 12 and over. The event relies on sleepwalkers to raise as much money as they possibly can! The great thing is all the sponsorship stays in the local area to help the people of South Devon. We don’t set you a fundraising target, but we will equip you with a Sleep Walk sponsorship form and tips on how to raise plenty of cash!
How many miles?!
You can choose to finish at five, totter ten miles or flourish at fifteen. All walkers will start and finish at the Riviera Centre, Torquay, no matter which length you choose. You can indicate when entering what route you may like to walk, but ultimately you choose on the night, if you fancy on the night walking more or less; that’s fine!
However many miles you walk you will get a warm, woolly feeling inside knowing you are helping to support Rowcroft’s vital work.
The route and venues are wheel-chair accessible and is fully marshalled! You will be well looked after on the night with drinks, plenty of loo’s and a bacon or egg butty at the finish line!

The start…
All sleepwalkers will arrive at the Riviera Centre at an allotted time slot between 7pm and 9pm (and thanks to micro-chipping technology registration is quick and easy!) before being warmed up and start your sleep walk around 20 minutes after your arrival!
You will be assigned your arrival time three weeks before the walk. We can not accommodate requests for times, however we will try to ensure that all team members will be allocated the same slot; this is only possible if you ensure all team members enter using the same team name, spelt identically, on all forms.
What happens on the night?
There is a great atmosphere, with so many ladies joining together to support Rowcroft Hospice and to have a great night! You can wear fancy dress, your PJ’s or your Sleep Walk t-shirt! You will be provided with light snacks, refreshments etc and there are plenty of loo’s too! We will provide you with a warm up before you head off, and have a bit of party when you get back. There will be two rooms; one for enjoying the tunes and another if you prefer a bit of quiet time!
